• Do a mini circuit training at home 5 stations; Push Ups, Lunges, Sit Ups, Squats and Skipping Rope. Go through 5 times for a super workout.
  • Walk the dog or just walk around your neighbourhood if you don’t have a dog.
  • If you have stairs in your home make use of them, try going up and down 10 times, a few times per day.
  • Hang your clothes out doing a few squats and calf raises in between each item.
  • Rather than driving - Walk to your local shop next time you need something small.
  • Grab a workout DVD from your local Library or Video store to add some variety to your program.
  • Clean the house to music and groove along.
  • Do Yoga or Pilates at home.
  • Do abdominal crunches and pushups during ad breaks see how many you can do.
  • Buy a weight training bar and a few weights so you can tone up while watching your favourite TV programme.
  • If you have a stationary bike or treadmill inside, make use of it while watching TV, reading a book or even cooking dinner – Every bit counts.
  • Chase your kids around, they love to play and they’ll sure love the attention.
  • When taking the clothes off the washing line, take one item at a time and make the basket a few steps away so you have to walk to it each time.
  • Shadow box, you can do it anywhere and it’s a great stress reliever.
